Lagos Demolition: Woman Weeps Over House Bought In February

Lagos state, the center of excellence is currently doing some “cleansing” by demolishing illegal structures in the state.

A viral video of an unidentified Nigerian lady weeping over the demolition of her family property is causing a stir on social media.

According to her, her family procured the property in Eti-Osa local government in Lagos state in February and two months after, the state government demolished it.

‘’We bought that property in February and we have only been there for two months, for two months!”

‘’All the work, all the sleepless night, everything.

“If you are in Lagos, you will know how much properties in Eti-Osa cost. You know how much properties in Eti-Osa cost.

“Each time my son sees me crying, he would always say Mummy you have been crying. How do I explain to my son? What do I tell my children? This is very painful.

Furthermore, she said she doesn’t wish anybody to go through what she went through.

“I don’t wish anybody to work so hard, so tireless and face something like this. I don’t!”

In the past few months, Lagos state government has been demolishing properties said to be built on water channels in the state.
