In Nigeria, the prices of everything has increased to the point that even the ransom kidnappers demand for their victims is on the rise.

In recent times, the amount of money bandits demand as ransom is shocking.
This outrageous and inconveniencing amount is appearing too juicy, motivating many to venture into the illegal trade.
Many even had to fake their abduction.
Recently, kidnappers abducted 16 residents from the Gonin Gora region of Kaduna State. Now, they are demanding 40 trillion naira as ransom for their victims.
The Exchange
Apart from the huge monetary demand, the Kaduna kidnappers also asked for 11 Hilux vans and 150 motorcycles in exchange for the 16 persons they are holding captive.
This development was confirmed by a community leader, John Yusuf.
Yusuf said the bandits got in touch with the victims’ families and asked for the items.

“The bandits have contacted us. They are demanding 40 trillion Naira, 11 Hilux vans and 150 motorcycles for the release of 16 people they are holding captive,” he said.
With the outrageous demand, one can easily conclude that the insecurity situation in Nigeria is entering another level.
