Lagos State Deputy Governor, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, has condemned the Igbo must go campaign circulated earlier on X by Lagospedia.
In an interview with Arise TV on August 6, Hamzat said no chance will be given for ethnic divides within the state.
“That’s not who we are, we have all lived together in the state since we were young, and there is no need for ethnic bigotry.
“Some people will do their best to divide us, but we will never allow that.
“Over the weekend, we visited the families of the late Anyanwu and Onyeka Onwenu, who passed away.
Hamzat stated that the “Igbo must go” campaign is nonsense and will not be allowed.
Furthermore, the Lagos deputy governor said it is okay to protest but not to destroy assets that are already limited.
