Nigerian actress, Chacha Eke Faani’s Husband, Austin Faani has denied allegations of physically assaulting his wife.
This is coming following the actress outburst on her Instagram page where she announced the end of her marriage where she hinted that the break-up was due to domestic violence.
“For the second time in two years, I am here again on social media boldly declaring that I am done with my marriage,” she wrote.
“My long overdue/relentless stance on this is of course no news to Austin Faani, the doctors and my parents.
“If push comes to shove and suddenly I am incommunicado; my lawyers, the welfare department and the Nigeria Police Force have my testimonials in recorded video clips/statements set for public release on all social media apps and national newspapers.”
Denying the claims, Faani took to his Instagram page to debunk the rumours insisting that he has never laid his hands on any woman or his wife.
According to him, everyone close to the family knows the truth and it is not in his place to divulge such information.
“I am not a violent person. Personally I detest violence in any form. I have never raised my hand on any woman in my life, including my wife.
“Everyone close to this case knows the absolute truth and it is not in my place to divulge it. The one person who started the talk will in due time continues to talk. Let light lead,” he wrote in the post.
This is not the first time the actress will announce the breakdown of her marriage. She earlier announced her split from Austin back in October 2020, which also at the time, caused many to believe that she was being physically abused in the marriage.
However, the actress debunked the domestic violence claim in a video, stating that her husband has neither beat her nor ever raise his voice at her.
She then revealed that she was diagnosed with bipolar disorder which was attributed to her pregnancy at that time.
