Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has withdrawn from the Norway squad with a groin injury.
The Premier League’s top scorer, who has 42 goals for City in all competitions, picked up a problem during the club’s 6-0 win over Burnley in the FA Cup quarter-final, in which Haaland scored a hat-trick.
Haaland linked up with Norway this week but after another assessment from the country’s medical staff, they concluded that the forward will not take part in the Euro 2024 qualifiers against Spain and Georgia.

Norway team doctor Ola Sand said: “We hoped that this was just a familiarity that would carry over to Saturday, but after doing tests and examinations yesterday it became clear that he will not make it to the games against Spain and Georgia.
“It is better that he receives medical follow-up at the club”.
