Gabriel Jesus opened up on his special bond with Arsenal’s fans after his goalscoring contribution in the Gunners’ 2-1 win at Nottingham Forest.
Arsenal cut Liverpool’s lead at the top of the Premier League to two points thanks to goals from Jesus and Bukayo Saka at City Ground, with Taiwo Awoniyi grabbing a late consolation strike.
However, Jesus sent a message to the Gunners’ fans after his third Premier League goal of the season.
The former Manchester City man told TNT Sports about Arsenal’s fans: “It is all about trust.
“I arrived at the club with patience and desire to improve.
“Also, I think I am doing good.
“Unfortunately I have been injured, but I don’t want [that].
“I got kicked in training. So I had some problems again.
“But I am working hard and doing everything to be on the pitch”.
However, questions have been asked about whether Arsenal needs another striker as Jesus and Eddie Nketiah.
While that may still be the case, the Brazilian international’s goalscoring contribution breathed new life into the Gunners’ title charge.
