If we are experiencing incidents like fire explosion in the first month of the year, then it’s scary to think what the rest of the year will be like.
Pandemonium broke out, as loud explosion rocked Adeyi Avenue, Bodija Estate, Ibadan, Oyo state on Tuesday evening, January 16.
The cause of the explosion is yet to be ascertained but videos shared online by multiple sources show glass wares in different buildings were shattered.
As at 9:00 p.m, no official statement from the authorities was released concerning the incident.
A rescue operation was carried out at the site of the explosion.
Also, it was reported that no fewer than 10 bodies recovered from the site were taken away in ambulances.

As of press time, rescue workers believe that some persons are still trapped under the rubbles and efforts are ongoing to rescue them.
