He released any tension that had been building against him after skipping a sitter in the Community Shield last weekend.
The 22-year-old took just 36 minutes to make his Manchester City debut, converting a penalty after being brought down in the box by West Ham goalkeeper Alphonse Areola.

It took the Norwegian just over a half-hour to find his first Premier League goal, which came from the penalty spot. Haaland earned the chance himself with a spectacular run down the left, a burst of speed that caught goalkeeper Alphone Areola off guard.
