West African Examination Council (WAEC) has released 1, 601, 047 results for this year’s May/June West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

Head of National Office of WAEC Nigeria, Patrick Areghan, gave the statistics while making the announcement at the headquarter in Yaba, Lagos. He said, 1,222,505 representing 76.36% passed with five credits in their mandatory subjects, including English Language and Mathematics.

Areghan, further stated that a total of 1,713 candidates with special needs including visually impaired (128), hearing impaired (583) and physically challenged(12) and others 387, who sat for the exam can now go and check as their results have been released.
