It was a black out at about 6pm on Monday, October 14, as the national grid collapsed plunging many into darkness.
Electricity distribution companies have alerted their customers after the national electricity grid collapsed again on Tuesday morning October 15.
Power generation dropped from 3.87 gigawatts at 5 p.m. to 3.56GW at 6 pm., and then to 0.00GW by 7 pm. and 8pm.
Efforts were made to restore it as some areas began to have their power restored as at this morning.
However, by 9.17am. the grid collapsed again.
By 10 am, grid supply had abruptly dropped to 0.00MW across all regions, plunging the entire nation into another round of total blackout.
The Eko Electricity Distribution Company confirmed the system collapse, which resulted in a loss of power.
A statement from the company to its customers reads, “Dear Valued Customer, kindly be informed that there was a system collapse at 09:17hrs, which has resulted in a loss of power supply across our network.

We are currently working with our partners and hope for a speedy restoration of the grid.
