A Federal High Court in Abuja has granted bail to 10 protesters who were arrested for their involvement in the #EndBadGovernance protests.
Each defendant must provide a surety with landed property in Abuja and pay a ₦10 Million bail.
Protesters Granted Bail
The defendants include Comrades Eleojo Opaluwa, Michael Tobiloba Adaramoye (also known as Michael Lenin), Angel Innocent, Mosiu Sodiq, and Adeyemi Abayomi.
Along with them, five others arrested for waving flags in Kano—Suleiman Yakubu, Buhari Lawal, Bashir Bello (Murtala), Nuradeen Khamis, and Abdulsalam Zubairu—will face a bail hearing at the Abuja court on Wednesday, September 11.
The young Nigerians have been held in Kuje Correctional Centre since September 2, shortly after their arraignment.

At that time, the court rejected the oral application made by their lawyers.
Justice Emeka Nwite, ruling on the bail application on Wednesday, stated that the charges against the defendants were bailable.
Documents To Be Submitted
Also, he ordered that the surety must provide an affidavit of means, reside within the court’s jurisdiction, and deposit the title documents of their property.
Additionally, the defendant must submit three passport photographs and their passports, and they are restricted from participating in any public rallies.
Counsel for the first four defendants, Abubakar Marshal, informed the court that about 49 protesters are still being held in Kuje Correctional Centre under court orders.
The judge has adjourned the case to September 27 for the commencement of the trial.
