The October 10 Ondo State gubernatorial election saw it’s fair share of drama and twists, but it appears as though it was far from free and fair.
New video evidence available to our correspondent indicates vote manipulation on the part of one of the leading parties – All Progressives Congress.
In the video recorded by a young voter in the state believed to bear ”Shindara,” two girls were brandishing wads of cash and celebrating their decisions to sell their votes.
They repeatedly mentioned ”APC” while urging others to vote the party.
While the authenticity of the video is yet to be determined, reports emanating from the state since yesterday indicate a less than peaceful event.
The election was keenly contested by incumbent Governor Rotimi Akeredolu and Peoples Democratic Party’s Eyitayo Jegede.
