Chef Dammy has proven to the world that exercise comes in different forms, one of which could be cooking for 120 hours.

There have been many speculations as to why someone would try to beat the hard work of Hilda Baci barely six weeks of a daunting cooking time.

Nigerian chef and student of the Federal University of Oye Ekiti, Damilola Adeparusi, popularly known as Chef Dammy, revealed that her 120-hour cook-a-thon was not an attempt to beat Hilda Baci’s record achievement with the Guinness World Record (GWR).

Furthermore, Chef Dammy made the revelation in an interview with the BBC Yoruba.

It held after the completion of the 120-hour cooking marathon.

The 120-hour cook-a-thon was achieve between June 9  and 14.

This is coming after Hilda Baci recently did a 100-hour cooking marathon on May 11–15, 2023.

Sadly, many have attacked Dammy, as they are of the opinion that she embarked on her mission to “hijack” Hilda’s record for the longest cooking time by an individual.

However, Chef Dammy shocked everyone by saying she didn’t cook to break any records, as she only attempted the marathon because of a passion for cooking.

“I just wanted to do something different and have everyone see me cook while we have fun together.

“The cook-a-thon was just like an exercise to me, and I’m going back to my life as a student from here,” she said in Yoruba.

Meanwhile, Guinness World Records had said she never submitted any document showing her intention to cook for records.

Basically, she has cooked her way to limelight.
