The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has confirmed that some thugs hijacked election materials in some states on Saturday.
The affected states include, Akwa Ibom, Enugu and Kano States.
The commission is conducting a by-election in 26 states across the federation today.
This report does not strike Nigerians as a surprise, this is because reports of this nature have become a stereotype in the country’s politics.
There is barely any election in Nigeria that is void of attacks or violence.
