The Director, Media and Publicity of the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council, Bayo Onanuga, is insisting that the forthcoming election is payback time Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
Senator Tinubu is the presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
He believes it was Tinubu that made sure President Muhammadu Buhari won previous elections.
Onanuga said this in reaction to the recent directives by President Buhari, which many claim is targeted against Tinubu’s presidential ambition.
Buhari Vs Tinubu
Top APC chieftains have alleged that the new Naira redesign policy by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), under President Buhari’s order was meant to truncate Tinubu’s campaign events.

Many acknowledged that the policy was a good development but that the timing was wrong.
Payback Time
Speaking on the recent happenings barely one week to the forthcoming presidential election, Onanuga said Tinubu deserved the support of the President.
His opinion came in a post on his Twitter page on Saturday morning.
Onanuga recounted how Tinubu campaigned vigorously for Buhari during the 2015 presidential election.

To him, Buhari is expected to do the same for Tinubu now that he is seeking to be president.
“Tinubu then in 2014/2015 campaigning vigorously for Muhammadu Buhari in Abeokuta. It should be payback time, I believe,” Onanuga wrote on the microblogging platform.
