Boko Haram Bomb Builder Killed By Self-made Explosive

You see, Boko Haram have used homemade bombs to carry out indiscriminate assaults in most states in the Northern part of Nigeria.

They get materials for bomb making together and produce different explosives. They use these explosives in terror attacks.

Indeed, Awana Gaidam, was a bomb builder for Boko Haram.

Report says he died after stepping on an improvised explosive device he had created.

From reports, we hear he had set the IED for the Nigerian forces in Borno State.

However, the explosive killed him when he made the error.

The explosive does not know its maker, you will say.

The young man, Gaidam, was alleged to have carried out numerous IED attacks along the busy Borno highways before his demise.

According to Zagazola Makama report, Awana placed the IEDs in his camp’s strategic locations within the Sambisa forest. His aim was to ward off troop attacks.

A source informed Zagazola Makama, a publication that focuses on the Lake Chad area, that Gaidam was blown to pieces.

According to the source, his vehicle stepped on the IED along Njumia and Arra in Sambisa forest on Monday.

Also the report said, since 2022, Boko Haram and Islamic State of West Africa Province have carried out more than 90 indiscriminate attacks.

All of the attacks are carried out in the in the North-East  using Improvised Explosive Devices.

“The insurgents resorted to the use of IEDs, as a result of the increased and sustained pressure by the joint efforts of the Nigerian Army, Air Task Force, Operation Hadin Kai.

“Efforts are supported by the combined troops of the Multination Joint Task Force, Niger, Cameroon and Chad in the Lake Chad sub-region.

“Therefore, the killing of Awana represents a serious blow to the operational capability of the Jamā’at Ahl as-Sunnah lid-Da’wah wa’l-Jihād, terrorists group,” the publication read.
