Twitter was bustling with activity in the late hours of April 20, 2023, after a number of verified accounts lost their blue-tick verification badges.

A lot of Nigerian singers and politicians were affected.

This comes only weeks after Twitter CEO Elon Musk stated that Twitter users would have to pay $8 per month to keep their verification badges.
