If you are interested in running for the office of the governor of a state in Nigeria under the All Progressives Congress (APC) then you have to pay ₦50 million.
Interested candidates in Kogi, Imo and Bayelsa states would have to purchase the nomination and expression of interest forms, the APC says.
The party made individuals interested in running for the office of the president pay ₦100 million, but slashed it in half for gubernatorial seats.
The party has also released a timetable for the primary election.
The newly released schedule for the primary election is similar to that used in other states last year.
How To Get Discounts
The general price fixed for the nomination and expression of interest forms in the APC is 50 million Naira.
However, Persons Living with Disabilities and interested females are to purchase only the expression of interest form for ₦10 million.
They would be given the nomination form for free, National Organising Secretary Suleiman Argungu, says.
Similarly, young interested politicians can get the forms at a discounted rate of ₦30 million.
Where To Purchase The Form
Interested candidates in Kogi, Imo and Bayelsa states are expected to visit the party’s national headquarters in Wuse, Abuja.
The forms would be available between February 15 to 22, 2023.
