One would wonder if gaining Guinness World Records recognition in cooking is a new innovation or a competition.
Or is it the goldmine people see in Guinness World Record that is motivating every chef to put on their apron and cap to a Cook-a-thon?
Barely two months after Hilda Baci attempted to break the Guinness World Records for the longest cooking hour by an individual for 100 hours, two other chefs have come out to challenge her record.
The first is a lady, Chef Dammy who is currently attempting to break the same record in Ekiti State, though there have been many reports of her breaking the rules by charging for the food, taking time to sleep, and never actually contacting the Guinness Book of Records.
Right now, different reactions are trolling Dammy on social media for taking this step.
Meanwhile, another Nigerian chef in Ibadan known as Prince Temitope Adebayo, aka Tope Maggie, putting his utensils to the works.
He is set to challenge Hilda Baci’s 100-hour record cook-a-thon in November 2023.
In fact, Tope Maggie has reportedly applied formally and is set to hit this milestone in Ibadan, Oyo State.
