Ruben Amorim has been left stunned by the lack of intensity shown by his Manchester United players in his first training sessions, per a new report.
Per The Sun, Amorim has been left reassessing the size of the job on his hands at Manchester United after his introductory training sessions.
According to the report, the successor to Erik ten Hag believes there has been a lack of intensity on the training ground, as he attempts to drill his new charges to play in a 3-4-3 formation.
United’s biggest stars have largely been away on international duty but Amorim is said to have been disappointed with the efforts of some of those players not picked by their countries.
He was consistently encouraging them to speed things up, and the report suggests he has already identified a number of players who will not fit into his style of play.
Also, United are currently 13th in the Premier League after a dismal start in which they have won just four of their first 11 fixtures.
However, they are only four points behind fourth-placed Arsenal, such is the compressed nature of the table.
