Breaking: FG shutdown NYSC camp nationwide over Coronavirus outbreak

The National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, has as a matter of urgency asked corps members currently in the orientation camps nationwide to vacate over Coronavirus fears.

iBrandTV reported that the nation has recorded a third case of the pandemic virus, however, no death has been recorded. Also the Federal government placing travel ban on civil servant travels to 13 countries with high risk of the virus.

Also, globally the virus has killed more than 7000 persons globally.

iBrand gathered that corps members in Lagos camp were on Wednesday morning asked to leave the camp immediately after receiving their letters to their places of primary assignment and transport allowance.

The camps opened last Tuesday and usually last for three weeks.

A corp member said: “We were told the order to close the camp came from Abuja.”

Another corp member told iBrandTV, “The truth is that we are not safe even outside the NYSC camp. Please stay safe.”
