The Ikeja Magistrate’s Court in Ogba, Lagos, has discharged Comfort Emmanson, the Ibom Air passenger previously accused of unruly behaviour, assaulting airline staff, and disrupting operations at the airport.
Magistrate Olanrewaju Salami struck out the five-count charge against her after the police applied for the case’s withdrawal.

The Airport Police Command had arraigned Emmanson on Monday, August 11.
This was on charges of causing a disturbance on board an Ibom Air flight, assaulting a crew member, and engaging in conduct likely to breach public order.
However, she pleaded not guilty during her arraignment.
However, at the latest hearing, Police Prosecutor Oluwabunmi Adeitan informed the court that both the complainant and the airline were no longer interested in pursuing the matter.
Acting on directives from police authorities, she formally sought the case’s withdrawal.
