Tinubu Swears In IGP, RMAFC and FCSC Members at State House

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Wednesday presided over a high-level ceremony at the Council Chambers of the State House, Abuja, where he officially inaugurated Tunji Disu as Nigeria’s 23rd Inspector-General of Police.

The swearing-in event drew cabinet members and top government officials, underscoring its significance within the administration.

With the oath administered, Disu formally assumed leadership of the Nigeria Police Force, stepping into one of the country’s most strategic security positions.

Beyond The Appointment

Beyond the police appointment, the President also inducted six new commissioners into the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC), reinforcing the federal body responsible for revenue distribution and fiscal oversight.

Two additional appointments were confirmed as members of the Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC), further strengthening the leadership of the nation’s civil service structure.

Immediately after the brief but symbolic ceremony, the Federal Executive Council (FEC) convened its meeting in the same chamber, marking its first session of the year.

In attendance were:

Vice President Kashim Shettima

Secretary to the Government of the Federation George Akume

Chief of Staff to the President Femi Gbajabiamila

National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu; and

Head of the Civil Service of the Federation Esther Walson-Jack, alongside other cabinet members.
