Nigerian singer Harrison Okiri, popularly known as Harrysong, has opened up about how his long-running feud with former record label boss Kcee negatively impacted his music career and creative process.

Harrysong parted ways with 5ive Star Music in 2017 following a public fallout with Kcee.
At the time, the Delta-born artiste accused the label of withholding his royalties, subjecting him to unfair treatment, and placing restrictions on his creative freedom.
He also claimed responsibility for writing several hit songs for Kcee, a statement that sparked a series of responses from the label boss and further escalated their dispute.
Speaking during an interview on Jusmen 105.7 FM, Harrysong revealed that the prolonged conflict became a major distraction, often pulling his focus away from music.
“The beef with Kcee used to distract me, it used to affect the music. Because most of the time, instead of recording, I would be thinking of how to reply Kcee and continue to fight. So, it distracted me. It affected my creativity,” he said.
The singer, however, noted that the chapter has now been closed, confirming that he has resolved his issues with Kcee and 5ive Star Music.
He added that personal growth and experience have helped him develop a thicker skin, allowing him to rise above controversies and remain focused on creating music.
