The Super Eagles of Nigeria have pocketed a total of $80,000 in goal bonuses for their impressive attacking display at the ongoing 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) had pledged a $5,000 reward for every goal scored by the team during the tournament. Nigeria currently boast the highest number of goals so far, having found the back of the net 12 times.
Eight of those goals came during the group stage matches against Tanzania, Tunisia, and Uganda, earning the team $40,000.
The Super Eagles added another $40,000 after scoring four goals in their Round of 16 victory over Mozambique’s Mambas.
Nigeria will now face Algeria in a highly anticipated quarter-final clash at the Marrakesh Stadium on Saturday, January 10, 2026.
