Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has announced herself as the President General of the “Single Mothers’ Association,” declaring an end to the stigma often associated with being a single mother.
The actress made the declaration during the birthday celebration of her colleague, Lola Alao, in a video that has since gone viral on social media.
Speaking at the event, Iyabo Ojo said the perception of single motherhood has changed, noting that many single mothers are raising children who are excelling in different sectors of society.
Iyabo Ojo added that single mothers are now being openly sought after for marriage, stressing that their life experience has made them more confident and valued.
According to her, “If a man leaves you, another man will accept you,” as she proudly announced her new title as President General of the Single Mothers’ Association.
