Former Big Brother Naija star, Anita Natacha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, has officially entered the Guinness World Records after setting two remarkable new titles for completing the most cosmetic makeovers in both eight-hour and 24-hour periods.
The record was confirmed by Guinness World Records (GWR) in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday, November 12, 2025.
The statement read:
“Congratulations to @Symply_Tacha who set TWO new @GWR titles for the most cosmetic makeovers in eight hours and 24 hours.”
Tacha achieved the feat during her Tacha Beauty Festival, held from October 10 to 12, 2025, at the John Randle Centre for Yorùbá Culture & History in Lagos.
She performed 82 makeovers in eight hours and an impressive 144 makeovers within 24 hours, using 150 models over the course of the three-day festival.
Following the announcement, the 29-year-old reality TV star took to Instagram to celebrate the milestone, expressing deep gratitude to her fans, team, and her late mother.
“This achievement was powered by grace, persistence, and the unwavering support of my team and fans who refused to let me quit,” she wrote.
Tacha also reflected on the intense journey that led to the record, saying:
“The world sees the headline, but God and I know the trenches sleepless nights, generator hum, prayers at 3 AM, swollen feet, shaky hands, and grace that does not lie.”
In a statement to GWR, she shared the inspiration behind her record-breaking attempt:
“The idea of daring to be different drove me. Makeup has always been my passion.”
“I wanted to show that Nigerian women can achieve anything they put their minds to, that creativity is powerful, and that African women deserve global recognition.”
She concluded her message with encouragement for her supporters:
“To everyone who called, pulled up, reposted, believed before they saw it thank you.”
“If you don’t have haters, pray for haters because they’ll push you into purpose.”
“My first name is Anita; it means gracious. And grace is loud on my life.”
