Nollywood star Stan Nze has opened up about his approach to filmmaking.
He makes it clear that while he is passionate about his craft, he draws the line when it comes to risking his life for any role.
In a recent interview, the award-winning actor has steadily grown into one of Nollywood’s most bankable stars.
He explained that stunt work is best left to professionals who are specially trained for it.
“I have done films where characters jump, but it is done by stunt guys – it is their job. They have the experience and the knowledge of how to jump and execute such scenes safely. I’m not going to be foolish and say because I want to be the best actor in Africa, I should risk my life. No movie is worth dying for,” Stan Nze stated.
The actor emphasised that it would be irresponsible to gamble with his life when trained stuntmen exist for that purpose.
According to him, his priority is to stay alive, continue telling stories, and let professionals handle the dangerous parts.

Beyond the thrills of acting, Stan Nze also shed light on the changing landscape of Nollywood.
Also, he noted that platforms such as YouTube, Prime Video, and cinema have expanded opportunities for filmmakers but have also increased the pressure to market movies aggressively.

“Marketing is part of filmmaking,” he said.
“Producers spend a lot of money creating these films, and it would be wrong not to push them. Not everyone has to dance or use social media trends, but whatever strategy you choose, the goal is to get eyeballs on your project.”
