Popular Kannywood star Mato Na Mato, widely known as Malam Nata’ala, has sadly passed away following a prolonged illness.
The respected actor, who hailed from Potiskum, Yobe State, was best known for his memorable role as an almajiri school teacher in the acclaimed Arewa24 Hausa drama series “Dadin Kowa.”

Also, his portrayal endeared him to audiences across Northern Nigeria.
It makes him a household name in the industry.
Before his passing, Nata’ala had appealed publicly for financial support to cover his medical bills.
Also, his situation attracted attention across the region and eventually reached Niger’s President, General Abdourahamane Tchiani, who offered assistance of N27 million for his treatment.
