Nigerian media personality and TV host, Stephanie Coker, and her husband, Olumide Aderinokun, are preparing to welcome their second child.
The exciting news was revealed on Instagram, where Stephanie shared a heartwarming video from their bee-themed baby shower.
She captioned: “Our sweet Baby A.”
Although the couple celebrated with close family and friends, they chose not to disclose the gender of the new baby.
Fertility Struggles
Stephanie Coker has previously been candid about her fertility challenges.
Also, she revealed that she conceived her first child, Ariella, via IVF (In Vitro Fertilisation), after spending around $40,000 on the treatment.
Reflecting on her journey, she admitted that a failed second IVF cycle left her in a very dark place emotionally.
“I got pregnant on the first IVF and the second one failed. I wanted to stand in front of a car and just let the car hit me,” she confessed in a past interview.
She explained how self-blame weighed heavily on her:
“I hated myself because I felt I had travelled to Los Angeles to get pregnant, and when the nurse called to deliver the bad news, I couldn’t imagine going back home with no baby. I asked myself, what did I spend all this money and time on?”
Despite the difficulties, Stephanie credits her faith, family support, and connecting with women who had gone through similar IVF failures for helping her heal and stay grounded.
Stephanie and Olumide tied the knot in August 2017 in a lavish destination wedding in Mykonos, Greece.
Also, their first child, Ariella, was born in November 2019.
With baby number two on the way, the family is preparing to embrace a new chapter filled with joy and growth.
