Veteran Afrobeats singer Gabriel Oche Amanyi, popularly known as Terry G, has declared that he has no plans to retire from music.

The 39-year-old artiste said he would rather embrace the tag of an “up-and-coming artiste” than quit the industry entirely.
Responding to critics who accused him of chasing clout on social media, Terry G wrote via his X handle:
“I fully embrace being seen as an upcoming artiste. You only become a legend when you retire and I’m never retiring. So if you catch me chasing clout, let me be.”
Terry G rose to fame in the 2010s with his unique brand of ghetto-inspired music known as Street-hop, releasing hits such as Free Madness, Sangalo, Akpako Master, and Run Mad.
The singer is currently working on a comeback with a new collaboration alongside Victony titled Tanko.
