A Magistrate Court in Ikorodu, Lagos State, has ordered DNA tests on Liam Aloba, the two-year-old son of late Nigerian singer, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.
The ruling was delivered on Tuesday by Magistrate Adefisoye Sonuga
This follows an application filed by the late singer’s father, Joseph Aloba. Mohbad’s widow, Omowunmi Cynthia Aloba, was listed as the respondent in the suit.
During the hearing, Joseph Aloba’s counsel, Augustine Adegbemi, presented the motion, while Omowunmi’s lawyer, Kabir Akingbolu, did not oppose it.
Magistrate Sonuga ruled that two separate DNA tests should be conducted, one in Nigeria and the other abroad — both in accredited and recognised hospitals.
Also, the order also mandated that both parties or their representatives must be present during the collection of DNA samples.

The case has been adjourned to November 11 for further proceedings.
