Sheffield United have confirmed the signing of midfielder Alex Matos on a permanent deal from Chelsea.
Matos joined the Blues in July 2023 and made his senior debut that October, coming on as a late substitute in a Premier League win over Fulham.
The 20-year-old spent the latter half of the 2023/24 campaign on loan at Huddersfield Town, where he made 20 appearances and scored once.
He returned to Chelsea for the first half of the following season, featuring regularly for the Under-21 side, before heading out on loan to Oxford United in January, playing 21 times for the League One club.
