Chukwueze, who will wear the number 19 shirt, joins fellow Nigeria internationals Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey at Craven Cottage.

Speaking to FFCtv, the 26-year-old expressed his delight:

“I’m so happy to be here. It’s an amazing club. It feels like home, because I have my people around me. I feel at home already, and I can’t wait to get started.”

Fulham’s vice-chairman Tony Khan welcomed the addition, describing Chukwueze as “an explosive athlete and tremendous talent” who brings top-level European and international experience to the squad.

A powerful left-footed winger known for his pace and skill in one-v-one situations, Chukwueze came through the Diamond Football Academy in Nigeria before joining Villarreal in 2017.

He went on to score 37 goals and provide 29 assists in 207 matches for the Spanish side, helping them lift the Europa League in 2021 and reach the Champions League semi-finals in 2022.

In 2023, AC Milan signed him for a reported €28m, where he featured 70 times across two seasons.

Notable highlights included scoring the decisive goal against Newcastle United in the Champions League and appearing in the Coppa Italia Final last term.

On the international stage, Chukwueze has earned 46 caps and scored seven goals for Nigeria since making his debut in 2018.

With his arrival, Fulham add further depth and attacking flair as they look ahead to the new Premier League campaign.
