Nollywood filmmaker and actor Afeez Abiodun has opened up about his marriage to actress Mide Martins.
He reveals that her real-life personality is far from the fiery, confrontational characters she often portrays on screen.
The couple have been married for almost 20 years, continue to enjoy a strong bond both on and off screen.
In a recent interview, Abiodun explained that while movie lovers often see Mide acting as a tough and outspoken woman, she is the complete opposite in reality.
“She’s the opposite of what people see on TV,” he said.
“I have never had any reason to separate her from fighting anyone on set. She would rather get into her car and drive off than engage in any fight.”
Comparison With Colleague Wunmi Toriola
Abiodun went further to compare his wife with their colleague, actress Wunmi Toriola.
According to him, Wunmi’s real-life personality is closer to the bold and no-nonsense roles she often plays in films.
“Wunmi’s character is a bit similar to her role in movies,” he noted.
“If you don’t look for her trouble, she won’t fight you, but if you trespass, she will act exactly as you see in movies.”
