Hulk Hogan’s widow, Sky Daily, is preparing to file a medical malpractice lawsuit against one or more of the WWE legend’s doctors, alleging their actions contributed to his death.
The lawsuit is expected to center on a neck surgery Hogan underwent in May.
Daily believes the procedure damaged his phrenic nerve a vital nerve that controls breathing ultimately leading to his death at the couple’s Clearwater Beach, Florida, home on July 24, 2025.
During the 911 call obtained by TMZ, Daily was heard telling emergency responders, “My husband’s not breathing.
He just stopped breathing.” Sources say Hogan, 71, did not die from a sudden heart attack, as initially reported, but stopped breathing unexpectedly.
An occupational therapist at the residence on the day of Hogan’s death reportedly alerted authorities to possible phrenic nerve damage.
Daily has also ordered a private autopsy as part of her investigation. While results have not been made public, her decision to pursue legal action suggests the findings support her concerns.
According to reports Daily was considering a lawsuit. Meanwhile, a medical examiner’s cremation approval summary listed a heart attack as the cause of death.
The Clearwater Police Department confirmed its investigation into the circumstances remains ongoing.
Daily’s legal move signals a looming courtroom battle over the medical treatment Hogan received in the final months of his life.
