The presidential elections on February 25, 2023, are only a few hours away.
A lot of preparation has been made by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to make the election a successful one.
Interestingly, the citizens are ready to go cast their votes for their preferred candidate.
However, there are qualities to look out for when voting for the next Nigerian president.

Character
One of the major qualities to look for when voting for the next president is whether he has a proven track record over the years.
Based on his track record, can he be trusted to keep his promises?
Wisdom
Nigeria is a country blessed with resources and manpower.
The challenge we are faced with as a nation is not that of Policy Creation but Implementation.
The next Nigerian president must be someone who can use intelligence to solve the country’s long-standing problems.
A wise man is that one who implements knowledge in a way it will benefit majority of the population.
Prudence
Infrastructures like education, health, roads and others are suffering not because funds haven’t been allocated for them.
But because there has been a high level of unchecked embezzlement of funds amongst top officials who are supposed to see to the execution of these projects.
A competent leader who will reduce wastage to the barest minimum is someone Nigerians should consider voting for.
Hard worker
Nigeria has many issues to be fixed and, as such, needs a leader who can work extra hours if possible to get the job done.
A president who would ensure the implementation of policies across the 36 states of the country is someone every voter should look out for.

Empathy
The common man is helpless in the face of insecurity, injustice, inflation, poverty and other tarnishing conditions. When the leaders do not put measures in place to solve these issues the people suffer most.
Every voter should look out for a candidate who has a heart for the masses. Someone who understands the pain of the people and will not hesitate to proffer necessary solutions.
