Afrobeats superstar, Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, recently experienced an unexpected setback during his performance at the Nativeland 2024 concert held at SoL Beach in Elegushi, Lagos State.
While delivering an electrifying set that included hits like “Kese (Dance),” his phone reportedly slipped from his pocket and fell off the stage.
Also, the loss went unnoticed by both Wizkid and his crew until after the performance.
In response to the incident, Wizkid has announced a ₦5 million reward for anyone who recovers the missing device.
Adding to this, his official DJ, Michael Adeyinka, known as DJ Tunez, pledged an additional ₦2 million, bringing the total reward to ₦7 million.
During the event, DJ Tunez addressed the audience, stating: “My brother Wizkid misplaced his phone before performing. There are a lot of details in there, and he will be giving anyone who finds it ₦5 million”.
The announcement has generated significant buzz across social media platforms, with fans and attendees expressing concern and actively searching for the lost phone.
Despite the substantial reward, as of now, the device remains unrecovered.
Wizkid’s surprise appearance at Nativeland 2024 was a highlight of the event.
