Thespian actress Ireti has confirmed rumors of her divorce from her ex-husband, Patrick Doyle.
There had been rumors alleging that the thespian couple had parted ways but neither had officially confirmed it until now.
In a recently released podcast on With Chude, the actress confirmed the rumors and said she being an actress does not entitle the public to know what is going on in her life or marriage.
Responding to a question on why she did not engage any of the speculations about her divorce, she said, “do you see me talking about my personal life in public? That’s nobody’s business, you’re not entitled to that.”
“That I am an actor and I ply my trade in the public arena does not make you entitled to my personal life and quite frankly I don’t owe anybody andy explanation.
“So, go ahead, speculate all you want, if it helps you digest your morning tea, I’m happy to oblige”.
The actress also apologized for shattering the fantasy of fans who live vicariously through her saying her life “is not an animation” in reference to the Cinderella story.

“I’m sorry if I contributed to shattering your image of love and a perfect couple but my life is not an animation and I cannot sacrifice my life at the alter of your imagination or your fantasy. So, if I hurt anybody, I’m sorry but I had to choose me,” she said.
Ireti further went on to say that her marriage was a pretty picture but there was a wide lacuna between the picture and reality.
Ireti and Patric Doyle have been married for over to decades and they have six children together.
