A video capturing the moment the Minister of Tourism, Lola Ade-John, knelt down before President Bola Tinubu shortly after taking her oath of office has emerged.
Ade-John is one of the 45 Ministers sworn in on Monday as Ministers under the administration of President Tinubu.
The new minister, however, caused mild drama when she chose to kneel before the President after signing the oath book.
This was as she proceeded to have a handshake and photograph with the President as protocol demanded.
The action elicited a clapping ovation from those present at the event, including President Tinubu himself.
For people of Yoruba descent in Nigeria often kneel when they greet an elder, as a sign of respect.
That road was what the new minister decided to walk.
