Nigerian social media critic, Martins Otse, popularly known as Verydarkman (VDM), recently captured attention online after posting a video of himself on his way to the police station.

VeryDarkMan had in the video content referred to himself as the internet police.
In a subsequent social media update, VeryDarkMan shared footage of himself on the road.
They informed his followers that he was waiting for his lawyer to join him for the meeting concerning the police invitation he received earlier.
Also, the police have condemned the social media influencer for using their official uniform without proper authorisation.
Also, police described it as a move they that undermined the integrity of law enforcement.
In light of the situation, VDM expressed his dedication to “sanitizing” the social media landscape.
He stated that he aimed to leverage his platform to advocate against oppression and highlight issues within the online marketplace, particularly targeting dishonest sellers.
