The rival mobile telecommunications companies set aside their differences on Valentine’s day.

MTN Nigeria sends a special love message to Airtel in Nigeria and Airtel responds with love.

In the spirit of love, MTN Nigeria and Airtel Nigeria have decided to put aside the competition and share the love.

MTN in a tweet on Tuesday wished Airtel a ‘Happy Valentine’s Day’ saying “Love is in the Air”.

Responding, Airtel noted that it could feel the love asking MTN what the plan for the day is.

The two telecommunications companies are two of the biggest in Nigeria.

The MTN-Airtel Competition

MTN is a mobile telecommunications company from South Africa and it currently operates in many African and Asian countries.

In 2020, MTN hit a record of 280 million subscribers and it has only continued to increase.

MTN is currently the largest network operator in Nigeria.

Airtel is a multinational telecommunications company from India.

It is based in New Delhi and currently operates in 20 countries across South Asia and Africa.

Based on reports, in 2019, Airtel passed Globacom and became the second-largest mobile network in Nigeria behind MTN.

These two telecommunications companies have always been competing, with MTN fighting to stay in the lead and Airtel trying to take the lead.

It is a relief for many to see them set aside their differences for love.

Love truly conquers all.
