The LP candidate is not only challenging the results of the election but also the conduct before, during, and after the election.

Mr Rhodes-Vivour has petitioned the election tribunal in Lagos state and has been granted permission to serve the petition to Sanwo-Olu.

The Prayers

The Election Petition Tribunal granted an ex-parte application by Rodes-Vivour for a substituted service on the state governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

Mr Rhodes-Vivour and the LP, through their counsel, Olagbade Benson, informed the Tribunal that Mr Sanwo-Olu evaded service of the petition on him by the court’s bailiff.

They allege that Mr Sanwo-Olu refused to collect the document from the bailiff when the court official got to his office to serve him.

Therefore, they prayed the court to grant them leave to serve the petition and other processes on the governor and his deputy through substituted means.

Furthermore, this substituted means may include posting the petition via DHL courier services or any other recognised courier service company.

They prayed the court permits them to post it to Sanwo-Olu’s official residence at Lagos House, Marina in Lagos.
