The certificate controversy involving President Bola Tinubu has left many in doubt and has left so many questions unanswered. The issue is also gaining attention in the country, as many are very interested in it.
The 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, on Wednesday, addressed a World Press Conference regarding the controversy surrounding the certificate of President Bola Tinubu.
The press conference was held at the Shehu Musa Yar’adua Auditorium Wuse 2, Abuja.
Certificate Controversy
During the press conference, Obi spoke on the certificate controversy – the alleged forged Diploma Certificate of the Chicago State University (CSU) submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) by President Tinubu.
The former Governor of Anambra said Nigerians all over the world were seen as fraudsters, certificate forgers and identity thieves because of what Tinubu has allegedly done.

Obi also wants the President to tell the nation his true name and the school he attended.
Furthermore, he wants Tinubu to show evidence of where he served and the certificate he obtained from CSU.
Peter Obi believes that this will save Tinubu and Nigeria from embarrassment.
Necessary Information
Also, the former Governor of Anambra State advised President Tinubu to provide Nigerians and the entire world with the necessary information about him once and now.
He said: “Mr Tinubu should tell the nation his true name, the school he attended, where he served and the certificate he obtained.
“He must do this task once and now. It is a matter of morality, honour, and integrity. Tinubu needs to come clean.
“The world now sees Nigerians as fraudsters, certificate forgers and identity thieves because of what Bola Ahmed Tinubu did at Chicago State University”.
The certificate was requested from the university by the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar.
He had filed a request with a court, requesting that the university should release the result of the President.
After the documents were made public, people began to identify so many irregularities with in the documents.
Many said the document was a fake document, pushing the certificate controversy to a new level.
Now, Atiku is going on with a case on the issue. He wants to prove that there is a case of forgery.
