Amidst the nationwide protests, Adamawa State governor, Ahmadu Fintiri says the protest is as a result of hunger and poverty in the land.
The governor disclosed this during a broadcast at the council chamber of the government house, Yola, the state capital.
However, Fintiri appealed to protesters to suspend the protest and give the government enough time to tackle some of the demands raised.

According to him, his government is doing everything possible to carry everyone along, as the administration is set to empower ten thousand unemployed, also to make available farm inputs to all farmers across the state.
