It was a black Friday for fans of Mukaila Senwele, a Lagos-based musician of Ilorin origin.
Mukaila Senwele, popular for his signature phrase “Koni Da Fun Ebo To Se Costay,” passed away on Friday, January, 25, leaving his fans and many Nigerians in mourning.
As we speak, the internet space is flooded with condolence messages as sympathizers move to console the singer’s family in this trying time.
Mukaila Senwele’s demise was announced by a family source who revealed that Mukaila showed no signs of illness prior to his death.
The celebrated artist, who hailed from Ilorin West Local Government Area of Kwara State, was admired for his exceptional performances and unique style of entertainment.
His style of performance earned him a devoted and large followership, even among socialites.
However, Senwele’s demise is a strange one, or perhaps, that is just what everyone thinks.
“There was no indication of sickness. He spent the day with his fans and even promised to visit the family house (Ile Esinrogunjo) later in the evening,” a family member revealed.

Tragically, the family received an emergency call from the location where Senwele had been lodging with fans. Efforts to rush him to the hospital were unsuccessful.
“Upon arrival, my elder brother and others attempted to rush him to the hospital, but we lost Mukaila to the cold hands of death,” the source added.
Mukaila Senwele will be buried on Saturday morning according to Islamic rites.
