An unnamed woman has dragged T.I. and wife Tiny to court on allegations of drugging and sexually assaulting her in 2005.
She claims to have met the couple through a man named Caviar, employed by T.I., and asserts they served her a drugged drink at a club, leading to a nonconsensual encounter in their hotel room.
The lawsuit is filed under California’s Sexual Abuse and Cover Up Accountability Act, a 1-year window for claims beyond the statute of limitations.
T.I.’s team has issued a statement in response.
“On the heels of positivity, negativity always rears its ugly head,” the statement begins.
“This plaintiff has been threatening to file this lawsuit for three years.
“For three years, we have emphatically and categorically denied these allegations. Refusing to pay these extortionate demands for things we didn’t do, we’ve maintained our innocence during this entire period.
“Despite the claims in this story changing time and time again, our position has remained consistent.
“We affirm our clear stance: we deny any involvement in these false allegations, we will not yield to extortion attempts, and we eagerly anticipate our day in court,” the statement read.
