Arsenal winger, Bukayo Saka, has stirred reactions after he was spotted on the street of Lagos in broad daylight during his visit to Nigeria.

The England international born in London to Nigerian parents arrived in his motherland on Wednesday night following the end of the 2022/2023 football season for his club.

Saka was sighted in Bariga, a busy and highly populated part of the mainland in Nigeria’s former capital city.

He was dressed in an all-white traditional outfit and freely interacted with the people, taking pictures with those who approached him.

Saka’s Arrival

The 21-year-old was welcomed in Nigeria by popular sports blogger Kelechi Anyikude aka Kelechi AFC.

Kelechi shared a video of Saka’s arrival online with the caption, “Local man and Bukayo Saka just touched down Lagos, Nigeria. Naija we outside”.

Another video that surfaced online shows the Arsenal and England player swamped in admiration by media and staff of a hospital in Lagos.

Saka has helped fund 120 children’s surgical operations in Nigeria.

The player supports a youth charity ‘BigShoe’ to play an important role in the medical procedures for children.

Children suffering from diseases like inguinal hernias or brain tumours in Nigeria are major beneficiaries of his support.

These persons hail Saka for not forgetting his roots, in fact, they want others to emulate him.

On the other hand, some persons are not happy over Saka’s visit to Bariga.

What even angered them more is that, he took a picture of himself in the area and shared it on his social media handles.

Now, this persons are angry because, to them, the Arsenal star should have posted a picture of himself in a more developed and sophisticated area and not Bariga.
