Father Chinenye Oluoma, a Catholic priest from the Abuja Archdiocese, strongly criticised gospel singers, expressing his concern about the increasing cost of religious worship.
In a video that has gained significant attention on social media, Father Oluoma specifically mentioned popular gospel artist, Mercy Chinwo, revealing that if he were to pay for her performance, she would likely charge a fee of ₦10 million to perform in churches.
The priest expressed his disappointment with gospel musicians, who place significant financial burdens on places of worship by demanding exorbitant payments for their performances.
