This triumph follows a year of setbacks for  him having missed out on awards at various ceremonies such as the BET Hip-hop Awards, the Grammys, the NAACP Image Awards, and the Brit Awards.

Meanwhile, Rema’s collaboration with international pop star Selena Gomez on the hit song ‘Calm Down’ earned the duo the prestigious ‘Best Collaboration of the Year’ award.

The ceremony also paid tribute to global music icons. Beyoncé received the iHeart Innovator Award, recognizing her groundbreaking contributions to the music industry.

Similarly, Cher was honored with the iHeart Icon Award, acknowledging her enduring legacy and influence.

With these latest victories, Burna Boy and Rema  join Wizkid and Tems as the only Nigerian artistes to have triumphed at the iHeart Radio Music Awards.
